This beaded wall hanging or sun-catcher uses a variety of wires, re-purposed jewelry and beading to depict the Akedah- The Binding- the moment when Abraham is faced with the ultimate test: whether to blindly obey God and to sacrifice his remaining son, Isaac, or to challenge accepted norms, even Godself, for the sake of his own family and of humanity. The ram which Abraham ultimately ended up noticing and offering, is caught in the Tree of Life forming the basis of this wired Torah commentary. Sarah and Hagar are frozen in time holding onto Abraham at the moments when they were also caught up in his vision.
