These days, blue and yellow have taken on new meaning and so have sunflowers! Now, they represent the brave people of Ukraine, but many years ago, I spent a summer in the Umbria and Tuscany region of Italy. I was participating in an opera workshop, and each time we left the convent which was hosting us, we traveled the sunflower-filled countryside on our way to our next performance. The sunflowers and the particular quality of the light in the Mediterranean sky (don't even get me started about my first glimpse of the sea), remains with me to this day. If you love all things Renaissance, if you love to travel, if you love sunflowers, then this kippah is for you! Made from salvaged phone cord wire from old rotary phones, it is even earth- friendly!
