Are blue and white the ONLY Jewish colors?

July 4 is almost here,so red,white and blue are everywhere. If you ask most people,"What are Jewish colors", they will probably answer,"Blue and white, of course, like the Israeli flag." But before that,what other colors represented the people Israel? One answer is found in the Torah, in T''tzaveh (Exodus 28, v.5)

"And they shall take the gold, and the blue and the  purple and the scarlet and the fine linen." These colors were used to make the vestments of the High Priest and his sons.

New discoveries about a certain kind of snail, which produces a light blue dye, and some fibers found in an archaelogical dig tell us more about the shades of blue and purple the ancients used...
